Optimizations and new watchdog service feature in new app release

On Saturday, December 16th, 2017, we will be rolling out several bug fixes as well as optimizations to content storage utilization and the watchdog that manages app recovery on Chrome devices.

What’s new?

You’ll see improvements in how Appspace cards are using local storage. Now, when cards are deleted from your channel, the card and its data are deleted from the media player’s local storage – freeing up valuable storage on some devices for fresh new content.

For Chrome users, the app watchdog has been converted into a standalone service, regardless of its connection status with Appspace. This works directly with Chrome APIs to ensure that a device reboot can occur if needed.
